Toronto, Canada - Africa 2017 Forum is held under the high patronage of H.E. Abdel Fattah Al Sisi and is organized by the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation of Egypt and the COMESA Regional Investment Agency (RIA). The 2017 edition builds on the success of the inaugural Africa 2016, which saw participation of 6 Heads of State and more than 1,000 delegates from 45 countries.
This year the programme has been enhanced with exclusive Presidential Roundtables with Africa leaders and CEOs as well as a Young Entrepreneurs Day. Africa 2017 remains the premier business platform to nurture new partnerships; meet investors and fast track your business objectives in Africa.
The Elevator Pitch offers a chance for African start-ups to gain exposure and raise the profile of theirventures and businesses. It will be a ‘needs and leads’ session designed to help these start ups reachout to new partners.
Out of these start-ups, one will be chosen to attend a training programme at Stanford Business School in California, the spiritual home of modern day entrepreneurs. The competition will feature 20 start-ups. Each start-up will be allocated a maximum of 3 minutes forpitching their business and their needs to the audience made up of other start-ups as well as businessmentors and advisors.There will also be a panel of judges who will select a start they feel will have the most to gain fromattending the programme.
But ultimately this is a chance for the 20 selected start-ups to share their story and find new partners, for whatever that need may be.
